On Saturday, August 27th from 9am -3pm, Calvary Baptist Church of Hawthorne will host it's annual FREE Back to School Bash! The day will begin with free workshops for your child's educational success with topics including mental health, self esteem, school safety with Hawthorne PD, cyberbullying, educational resources from Sylvan Learning Center, a career panel with celebrity guests, and a puppet show for the little ones. There will be several tablets and other prizes being raffled during this time. At noon, the backpacks and school supplies will be distributed while supplies last. There will be free food, music, jumpers, free haircuts for boys, hairstyles for girls, and a 3-on-3 basketball tournament presented by D.R.E.A.M Academy for youth ages 12-18yrs old with cash prizes. You don't want to miss it!!
