Pathfinder Chiropractic is hosting its annual Wines & Spines event with all proceeds going to Cayson and his parents for his medication & treatment costs. Cayson is a 6 year old little boy who was found to have a brain tumor in February of 2022. A biopsy revealed it is a pilocytic astrocytoma tumor. Due to the location of the tumor, the Doctors recommended treatment with chemotherapy instead of surgically removing the tumor. Cayson is taking chemo medication daily at home. The family travels to Denver every two weeks for follow up appointments. These appointments include brain MRIs to monitor the size of his tumor and progress of treatment. It is expected that this treatment will last 2 years. Cayson will continue to be monitored until he is in his 20's as the tumor could start growing again. If it grows, he will have to resume treatment. Cayson is very energetic and enjoys being outdoors, helping on the ranch, building legos, playing with his little sister, and playing baseball. His family is trying to keep his life as normal as possible. Pathfinder Chiropractic currently provides and will continue to provide chiropractic care to Cayson. This helps with his headaches and side effects from his cancer treatments as well as keeping his nervous system very strong and adaptable.
