1863FWD is a social impact organization and an inaugural ICJIA R3 Grant Recipient from FY22. We currently have a subaward with FY23 providing a ten week wellness group, Circle Back 2 Wellness. After a year and a half of assessment of the needs of community members, we were validated in our approach to build wealth, create intergenerational wealth, cultivate career and entrepreneurial opportunities in order to generate revenue in disenfranchised communities. Our Bluntly Speaking Tour is debuting Sept 10 starting with the community where the CEO/Executive Director, Jataun J. Rollins established her roots and highlight the contributions of African Americans to the economy, cultural heritages, historic underpinnings of the Roseland, Historic Pullman and Avalon Park communities. We have several future routes planned across the city. Please consider supporting our first fundraiser to build a workforce development program and establish a training, employment and entrepreneur program. We are only asking for a minimum contribution of $75; you can support even if you cannot physically attend knowing that you will be helping justice impacted and disenfranchised individuals and their families achieve stability. We will provide each guest with a hospitality bag for their enjoyment on the tour. We are practicing safety precautions as we expect all participants to wear a mask except for snacking or consuming beverages. All are expected to use hand sanitizer. If you show any signs of illness with lethargy, rash, complicated breathing, severe headache, coughing, etc--please seek health services and rest. Your health matters! We clean the vehicle before and after every trip.
