GSEC 50th Anniversary Gala Dinner

On Friday, October 21, 2022, CSU, Chico’s Gender & Sexuality Equity Coalition (GSEC) will be celebrating its 50th anniversary by hosting a fundraising gala dinner at the Chico Women's Club. This event is part of a larger celebratory reunion weekend alongside GSEC's two-day 24th Annual Womxn's Conference and an official gala after-party hosted at Duffy's Tavern later that Friday night. All proceeds generated from ticket sales, drinks, and silent auction bids will go towards the GSEC's future 50 years of student-led activism. Doors will open at 5pm, with alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks available for purchase through KZFR's no-host bar. A short program will begin at 6:30pm, followed by a buffet dinner served at 7:00pm. Seating will be available both indoors and outdoors; please leave a comment during your ticket purchase or reach out to [email protected] to request specific seating accommodations. Doors will close at 9pm. Attendees interested in continuing the celebration are invited to visit Duffy's official after-party for a small cover fee. All cover proceeds will go towards the GSEC after paying the DJ's. Don't miss the GSEC's 24th Annual Womxn's Conference taking place on October 21 - 22, 2022 at CSU, Chico's BMU Auditorium! This event will feature feminist and LGBTQ+ keynote speakers and provide an opportunity for alums and community members to rally around the important work that the GSEC continues to do. This year’s Womxn’s Conference will highlight the movements, organizers, students, and theory that guided the past five decades of activism and our path forward. It is the GSEC’s mission to continue to provide an inclusive and intersectional learning environment that highlights the theme of student-run activism.Will you be traveling from afar?
