We Are Long Beach: Our Stories, Our Future seeks to elevate community engagement and strengthen solidarity around multicultural issues that are impacting BIPOC community members in Long Beach, CA.
The event will provide three short documentary screenings that amplify personal stories from Cambodia Town and surrounding communities. Screenings will be accompanied by a community forum with local leaders that will engage in a meaningful inter-ethnic dialogue that uplifts personal stories, elevates the local neighborhood issues, and empowers civic engagement. Alongside Visual Communications, the collaborative event will include the United Cambodian Community (UCC), Cambodia Town Thrives (CTT) and other local organizations.
