Since receiving the state's first EV school bus earlier this year, the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians has been running the Carolina Thomas Jouley on daily routes. Learn from their experience on everything from charging infrastructure, daily operations, and grant funding at this event created for North Carolina's school transportation directors. Oh, and we're serious about the drag race. Tentative Agenda: 11 a.m. - Check out the Jouley and talk to EBCI staff who drive and work with the EV bus 11:45 - School Bus Drag Race! Noon - Lunch 12:45-2 - Roundtable on the EV school bus experience with EBCI staff, and representatives from Carolina Thomas, Duke Energy, Proterra, the NC Department of Public Instruction, the State Energy Office, and the Land of Sky Clean Vehicles Coalition
