Yard Associate & Material Handler

RMJC designs, fabricates commercial and residential heavy timber structures throughout North America and worldwide. The essential job functions or duties of this position are as follows: • Heavy timber handling, including receiving staging and cycle counts of timber • Properly loading timber projects onto flatbed trucks and safely securing the units. • Bands lumber product for storage or shipping • Assists in moving of inventory for storage within the yard area as directed • Properly organize timber inventory as required, including labeling and painting. • Assists in inventory and/or cycle counts as directed • Assist in keeping all areas clean and clear for incoming / outcoming traffic including forklifts lanes. • Use of various hand and power tools and other woodworking equipment. • Shop work as needed. This may include planing, shaping, molding, and other basic woodworking as necessary. • General cleanup and maintenance of the warehouse and exterior storage yard. • Other duties as assigned by the manager. Skills / Requirements 1 to 4 years previous experience with forklifts and other machinery. Forklift Certification a plus! Knowledge of lumber products. High School Diploma/ GED. Ability to lift 50lbs continuously. Must be able to work under tight deadlines. Willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Email resume or Apply in Person!
