IMMEDIATE OPENING for a Skip Operator/Laborer for a commercial general contractor based in Minneapolis specializing in multi-family, mixed use, and hospitality projects. We are looking for a reliable and hard-working Skip Operator/Laborer to perform general construction duties as directed by the Lead Superintendent. Prior experience working on a construction site is a plus. Responsibilities include: • Operate skip elevator and other equipment including power tools, saws, lifts, skid steers, wheelbarrows, brooms, etc. • Prepare and maintain safe and clean job sites • Clean up debris and remove waste materials • Create and maintain safety barriers, run errands, and haul materials • Adhere to all company safety requirements Requirements: • Must be punctual and ready for shift to begin at 6:30am, Monday - Friday • Ability to safely lift, push, pull and carry heavy objects (up to 100 lbs. w/assistance), sometimes suspended from hoist; walk and stand for long periods of time; work in a generally loud environment; and perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field and weather conditions including extreme cold, sun, heat, and humidity. • May be necessary to pass certification prior to operating some equipment • Clean driving and criminal record • Able to pass drug screen • OSHA 10 or 30 hour course certificate a plus Benefits: • Pay beginning at $20/hour • Comprehensive benefits package • Company-provided PPE including safety vest, hard hat, protective eyeglasses, and gloves
