We are seeking an Independent Occupancy Field Inspector to perform Property Inspections in Hancock and Penboscot county. Area would include Brooksville, Bluehill, Ellsworth, Deer Isle, Bucksport, Hampden, Bangor, Old Town, Howland, Lincoln, Lee, Millinocket and surrounding. Property inspections are typically completed on behalf of the mortgage company. The primary duties of a Mortgage Field Inspector is to locate, photograph, and complete a visual inspection of predetermined properties. We complete Occupancy verification inspections, Vacant property Inspections as well as specialty inspections such as damage inspections and business verification inspections. Examples of tasks required include determining whether the property is occupied of vacant, reporting the condition of the property, delivering door cards, determining utility status, and reporting observed damages. Relevant experience is preferred, but not required. Currently there is no special licensing or certifications required for these types of inspections. Inspection Contractors are paid a flat fee per completed inspection (no mileage or expenses are reimbursed). Earning potential is based on each Contractors availability, willingness to travel, and desired territory and volume. Requirements: -DBA, LLC or Corporation* -You must be Local to the Area -A minimum of 15 hours of week day daytime availability on a year-round basis — Inspections must be completed during daylight hours. -Dependable and fuel-efficient transportation -Driver License -Android or iOS Apple Smartphone -Laptop or Desktop Computer -Printer -High Speed Internet -GPS -Volt Stick/Voltage Tester -Yard stick/Meter Stick -Must be able to pass Background Check and Motor Vehicle Record check *This is an Independent Contractor (1099) Position. We are seeking a DBA, LLC, or Corp, or an Independent contractor willing to establish a DBA, LLC or Corporation to provide Inspection services under a written contract.
