Be part of an important research study being conducted on brain and glucose metabolism at Albert Einstein College of Medicine! Dr Meredith Hawkins, world renowned researcher in the field, and her group are looking for healthy, 21-55 years old men and women without a family history of diabetes to participate in a study to help understand how activating control centers in the brain can affect how much glucose (sugar) is made by the liver.
Participation in the study involve a preliminary screening at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine (Bronx), which includes a medical evaluation, EKG, urine drug test, routine urine and blood tests, after which participants will be notified if eligible or not to this and future studies.
Compensation will be provided for completion of each study visit and travel expenses.
