Job description Warehouse Equipment Maintenance Assistant compensation: compensation: $20-$22.00 per hour, depending on experience, and benefits offered employment type: full-time Job title: Warehouse Equipment Maintenance Assistant Hardwood Flooring Company- looking to hire a Warehouse / Equipment Maintenance Assistant. Join our team and learn a trade with growth opportunities available. POSITION OBJECTIVE AND PURPOSE: Daily and /or weekly equipment maintenance. Handling all aspects of warehouse maintenance. The ability to load, unload hard wood flooring products from trucks, and operate a forklift and pallet jack efficiently. REPORTING TO POSITION: Operations Manager Warehouse Supervisor ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Equipment Maintenance: Wire brush sanding machine, Industrial sander, pre-finishing line equipment and compressor. • Ability to read maintenance manuals and follow directions. • Maintain all finishing equipment in a warehouse. • simple equipment repair, clean and lubricate machines as needed. Warehouse Maintenance: • Check for empty boxes - break down and throw out. • Keep neat and clean warehouse premises. • Assist warehouse supervisor with daily safety maintenance. • Must demonstrate professionalism and the ability to multi-task and work under pressure effectively RECEIVING DELIVERIES: • Assist Warehouse Supervisor with receiving deliveries of wood material/inventory. • Ability to assist with a tally of wood pallets. • Experience with a forklift- hardwood flooring. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: • Work is performed while standing, sitting, and/or walking. • Requires the ability to lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 75 pounds • Requires activities involving being around moving machinery, and exposure to dust. SKILLS REQUIRED: • Experience with forklift • 1 to 2 years’ experience maintaining warehouse area • Reading and comprehension skills. • Strong initiative and self-motivational skills • Verbal communication skills • You must be able to read and take directions in English • You must be at least 18 years old. EDUCATION: • Minimum High School diploma or GED. • Requires a minimum of three years of experience in warehouse maintenance and simple equipment repair.
