Our company works with the airlines. When an airline loses passengers luggage they bring it to our office to be delivered. We contract out drivers to make deliveries. We deliver all throughout NM and near states. Our company and our drivers rely on dispatchers to set up routes, communicate with customers, and to set up drivers. I'm looking for one maybe two dispatchers to work with our company. This job can be a really laid back easy job and it has its moments where it is faced paced as well. I need someone reliable, good communication, and detail orientated. Dispatchers need to be able to communicate. I can not stress this enough. Dispatchers are expected to call customers when they come onto their shifts and through out their shifts. Dispatchers will be expected to answer all incoming calls and help passengers with knowledge of their luggage. For example, if a passenger would like an update on their luggage they would call the Dispatcher number. At that time the dispatcher would contact the driver to get an ETA or ask the driver to reach out to the passenger whichever the passenger prefers. These types of communications are crucial. In addition to speaking with passengers, Dispatchers will be interacting with the airline attendants. It is a professional manor at the airport so we need someone who can speak respectfully to others. We do not condone any drama or poor attitudes. If something goes wrong we do not dwell either we problem solve to fix the problem. Furthermore, Dispatchers will be responsible for providing routes for drivers. Every route is created by direction. What that means is if there are bags going to Socorro, Belen, and Los Lunas that is a route south. Dispatchers will add locals on to that route to make the cost increase and offer it to drivers that are on call. Dispatchers will have access to the app that drivers use to assign deliveries to drivers as well as access to the company website that displays prices for deliveries. Dispatchers will be responsible for loading up the luggage on to carts for the drivers. The drivers meet the dispatches at the luggage drop off outside our office at the airport. Dispatches unload the bags and let the drives load their vehicles. Dispatchers provide cost sheets to drivers that list the drivers name, number, airlines of deliveries, time, cost, and percentage the driver is collecting from route. Dispatchers will collect paperwork back from drivers and put them in their appropriate folders by date and name. The hours for this job are 8:45 AM - 3 PM and 6:30 PM - 1 AM. The starting pay is 15hr and after one month it goes to 16hr. We do our pay periods twice a month. The 1st through the 15th gets paid at the end of the month. The 16th through the end of the month gets paid on the 15th. We do direct deposit as well. I am looking to hiring someone for mornings and nights during the weekends and someone for nights during the week. To start a couple days out of the week and if it works well willing to offer 5 days a week.
