Wanted – Live-in manager(s) for vacation rental. Suited for a single person, or preferably a couple. Located in a beautiful, peaceful setting near Mount Adams (25 minutes to Goldendale, 30 minutes to Glenwood, one hour to The Dalles and Hood River and two hours to Portland). Estimated 35 to 50 rentals per year and 100 to 150 nights per year. The rest of the time, the house and cabins are empty. High speed StarLink internet makes this ideal for an individual or couple who works from home. 52 to 72 hours of work per month in exchange for rent. The estimated value of the 700+ s/f one bedroom apartment, with all utilities included and high speed internet is $1,500 per month. The apartment could be furnished, unfurnished or partially furnished. In exchange for rent and utilities, the on site manager(s) would work 52 to 72 hours per month. Responsibilities include: greeting guests; cleaning the house, bath house and cabins after guests leave; being onsite during key hours to make sure that guests are adhering to House and HOA Rules; general maintenance; minor repairs, garden maintenance, and brush clearing; meeting with contractors doing major repairs; and communicating with the neighbors, as needed. Successful applicant(s) would be friendly and outgoing. Experienced in: making minor household repairs, household upkeep, trouble shooting major repairs, gardening, brush clearing, house cleaning, laundry and the ability to work with contractors to identify problems and report back to the owners.
