Description
The interior demolition crew lead oversees projects related to interior demolition. The majority of these projects are commercial and require hard hats, boots, gloves, etc.
Interior demolition crew lead will:
-set up commercial projects by obtaining plans, meeting with superintendent of job site to review scope, and setting daily and weekly objectives for the job site
-make sure the job site is properly staffed by working with operations team
-set the method for demolition and make sure the job site is clean each day
-oversee a crew of up to 4 people on smaller jobs.
-willingness to travel outside of our market for up to 1 week at a time. Typically one week per month on projects in other states such as Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, and Texas. All travel is covered and you will receive a $5 pay bump while traveling.
-review change orders and work outside of scope of work before it's done and coordinate with office for proper pricing
-remove lay in grid ceiling with tile, tile floors and other floors, metal framed walls with drywall, remove millwork such as cabinets and wall attached fixtures, remove doors, load dumpsters, operate a scissor lift
Experience preferred:
-1-2 years experience in commercial construction preferred
-experience running a small team of 2-3 preferred
-must have your own transportation to and from job site
-familiarity with commercial construction and building process
Pay:
$23 an hour while in Columbus, Travel work $5 pay bump outside of 60 mile radius. Majority of our crew leads after 60 days are bumped by another $5 after training to $28 depending on experience level.
