The Center for Peacemaking’s Milwaukee Social is an annual gathering for supporters and collaborators to come together to celebrate our shared successes. This year the theme will be “A Taste of the Near West Side” with an array of food and beverages from Near West Side restaurants and businesses. We will also offer a pre-event bus tour of the Near West Side for those interested in learning more about how the Center is collaborating with anchor institutions, community organizations, residents, and local businesses to enact a high-impact, community-based peacemaking initiative. The event will take place in the evening of Wednesday, September 21st, which is recognized as the International Day of Peace by the United Nations. A brief program, including a student testimonial, will highlight the ways we are working for peace in the Near West Side and beyond. 4:00 pm - Near West Side bus tour sponsored by Town Bank, a Wintrust Community Bank (Optional.
