This will be a fun opportunity for girls to experience the magic of Girl Scout camping and bond with other Girl Scouts from Wakefield. During the day on Saturday Girls will rotate between 4 activities – yoga, tie dye, hiking, camp skills, with options for sports or crafts. Activity blocks will be 45 minutes with 15 minutes in between. Everyone will help prepare dinner and participate in campfire activities.All girls will be assigned a Kaper for instance: wood collecting, fire building, meal prep, s’mores prep, clean up. All adults will be expected to also participate and supervise activities and Kapers. Our overnight girls will participate in more Girl Scout traditions around the campfire, like skits, performances and swaps, and will have the option to sleep in the lodge (with running water, electricity and indoor bathrooms) in cabins or in a tent. ***Please note that financial assistance is available. Please email [email protected] if you need further info on this*** Schedule of Events: Saturday October 1, 2022 1:00 pm Registration Girls drop off belongings at lodging 1:15 pm Opening Ceremony 1:30 – 2:15 Activity 1 2:30 – 3:15 Activity 2 3:30 – 4:15 Activity 3 4:30 – 5:15 Activity 4 5:15 – 6:00 Dinner Prep, fire building, kapers 6:00 - 6:30 Dinner 6:30 - 7:00 Campfire Songs and S’mores and Clean Up 7:00 Departure time for girls not staying overnight 7:15 - 8:00 Skits/performance/talent show 8:00 pm Settling in at lodging, troop activity Sunday October 2, 2022 7:00 am Breakfast, kapers 8:00 am SWAPS 9:00 am All camp hike 9:30 am Clean up 10 am Departure, all girls must be picked up promptly Packing List: Each participant should bring: Sleeping Bag (fitted sheet for cot is optional) Pillow and Pillow Case Pajamas 2 Full Changes of Clothes Toothbrush, toothpaste and other toiletries Bug spray and sunscreen Bandana and/or hat Hair ties Troops that are camping in tents should check with their troop leader on what to bring.
