We've got another fun OPPORTUNITY to SERVE with surprise give-aways from Amazon! Amazon is partnering up with S.O.U.R.C.E. (Serving Opportunities Uniting Resources, Community and Efforts) to provide for the homeless young people at the Covenant House as well as the surrounding community to include our volunteers. With regards to the POTLUCK, volunteers are encouraged to bring several meat choices i.e. chicken, beef, turkey etc. Vegan dishes are encouraged for those who don't eat meat. Side dishes should include potato/macaroni salads, rice, coleslaw, mixed vegetables, regular / fruit salads, etc. Beverage include waters and a variety of sodas. Snacks of every kind are welcome. When signing up, please let us know what dish you are bringing. With regards to ATTIRE, we'll be working mostly outside...No open toe / heel shoes. Bring a hat and sunscreen for UV protection. Every volunteer will be encouraged to fill out a liability form. With regards to PARKING, right now, street parking on either side of the building.
