Dinner, Drinks, Music, and More:Pay It Forward Charleston and Heritage Radio Network kick off 'Brighter Days Ahead,' a public awareness and fundraising campaign, with a joint-benefit ticketed dinner at High Wire Distilling to support the diverse and robust community of food workers and tell their important stories. This fundraising experience will bridge hospitality, comfort, celebration, and human connection. High Wire Distilling wilI host a welcome reception with snacks and special cocktails by Megan Deschaine. Then, star chefs Zahra Tangorra (Brucie, Zaza Lasagna), Vivian Howard (Lenoir, Handy and Hot, PBS's Chef and The Farmer), and Jacques Larson (Wild Olive , The Obstinate Daughter) will serve a multi-course meal with music by members of Charleston's Doom Flamingo, Terraphonics, and Motown Throwdown. Wines will be provided by Grassroots Wine with zero proof options available. Zahra and her co-host (and mother) Bobbie Comforto, of HRN's podcast Processing, will share stories of Pay It Forward's impact through a special episode to air ahead of the event.
