Feminist Meetup - Care Package Event

The National Organization for Women (NOW) - Tampa Chapter is hosting an event this Sunday, 8/21 from 2:00-4:00 pm. Memebers, non-members, and anyone seeking to meet more like-minded feminists in the area is welcome to join us. In partnership with Tampa Bay Abortion Fund (TBAF), we are creating packages of items to give to women following their abortion procedures. A TBAF Volunteer/Board Member, will also be joining us to share information about their group and the free services they provide. It will be a fun and meaningful way to help the people in our community that need our support. Although some items will be purchased in advance, attendees are invited to bring the following items if possible: -maxi pads -heating pads -pregnancy tests -wet wipes -hand sanitizer -ibuprofen -notes of encouragement/affirmation from volunteers -journals/pens -sweatpants, all sizes -herbal tea -ginger chews -personal care travel kits (or things like travel size toothpaste, toothbrush, lotion, etc) We thank the Unitarian Universalist Church of Tampa for allowing us to use their meeting space. 11400 Morris Bridge Road Tampa, FL 33637 USA
