The River Region Community Action Team and Gift of Life Community Action Network present "Pregnancy and Beyond" a mini-conference on September 15 from 8 a.m to 3 p.m. on the campus of Trenholm Community College- Patterson Campus, 3920 Troy High Way, Montogmery, AL 36116. This is event is designed to help expectant moms and dads and parents and caregivers of a child under age 2 learn some of the important steps they will need to take early in their pregnancy to reduce the risk of pregnancy and infant loss, plus practical tools like insurance options, the importance of breastfeeding and practicing safe sleep, how dads can support pregnant moms, mental health and pregnancy and how stressors that can negatively impact pregnancy. The event will include door prizes and a boxed lunch will be provided for participants who register BY SEPTEMBER 12. Those who register by the deadline AND attend the event will also receive a $20 gift card at the conclusion of the workshop. THIS EVENT IS FOR EXPECTANT MOMS & MOMS, DADS AND CAREGIVERS OF A CHILD UNDER AGE 2. NOT PROVIDERS.
