Paddle for Pedals will take place at McFarland Park between Shelters 1 and 2. As participants arrive, they will need to check-in at Shelter 1 where they will be given a number that determines their assigned heat. Once their heat number is called, the student will need to show up to the drop-in point at Shelter 1 where they will be provided a single-person kayak and helped into the water. Each participant's time will be recorded at the end of the heat. The winners will be the participants with the fastest time.
Prizes:
The top overall male and female students will win an e-bike and helmet. A trophy will be given to the RSO with the fastest time.A trophy will be given to the top male and female Greek organizations with the fastest times, and a $250 donation will be given to the philanthropy of the winning organizations. We will grill hamburgers and hot dogs and have games to play while you watch the races and wait for your turn.
If students need a ride to the event, there will be vans shuttling participants back and forth from the Commons parking lot to McFarland Park.
