Description

Three female English exhibition budgerigar parakeets seeking a new home! They come with their cage, perches, toys, food, treats and whatever else I have left for them as well. They are great little birdies that I unfortunately no longer have the time to appreciate as they deserve. I haven’t had a chance to work with any of them in the last several weeks so they’re not as tame as they used to be but they could be tamed bank down with a little patience. All three will step up with patience. About them! BINGO is a ‘sky blue spangle dominant pied’ and approximately 1 years old. She was hand raised and fed by me and is semi tamed still! She will step up to come out of the cage and to be put back away, very curious and will sometimes perch on my shoulder. LOVES to eat. HEDWIG is albino and roughly 2-3 years old, an excellent mother bird and the queen of the flock. She doesn’t like to be handled much and will usually put herself back into her cage once she knows that’s what you want. She will step up with a little convincing but generally prefers not to. PEPPER is a cobalt blue standard that came from a fancy show breeder in California. Unfortunately right after I got her I noticed her feathering was kind of meh and over the year she ended up losing most of her tail and flight feathers! It turns out she had gotten sick as a chicky and now has a life long autoimmune disorder that makes it so her feathers don’t grow quite right and fall out. She cannot fly and needs some minor special accommodations to make sure she doesn’t fall and get hurt! But she knows her limitations and generally doesn’t have any issues. She is about 2 years old and is expected to have a shorter life span because of this. All that being said she is very friendly and loves to be around people! She’s honestly the sweetest little thing and I hate that she had this happen to her. Her condition is NOT contagious and she’s lived with other birds her whole life without any one else ever having issues, it’s simply an immune disorder. She absolutely cannot ever be bred however as this condition will be passed to her babies making them unlikely to survive. All three budgies eat a varied diet and love fresh vegetable chop (kale, broccoli, cabbage, carrots, etc) along with sprouted seeds. They get Higgins gourmet parakeet and are used to being out of the cage daily to fly around. Rehoming fee is $120. Please let me know why you want them and what experience you have with birds when messaging with interest! I can meet up in surrounding cities for the right home (located in Olympia).
