SOCIAL WORKER ADVICE NEEDED PLEASE

I need advice. I have 4 children they have never been to school. I have taught them basics such as reading and math and stuff they will use in real life but not actual school. Please read before jumping on me. I want to make it clear, until recently I had no idea school was required by law. I was just informed this so please know I wasn't trying to blaintly defy any laws or hinder my kids. Please let me explain why. Growing up I was greatly abused at home. I was in a Christian elementary school for the first part of my life where memorizing Bible versus was a main thing which I strugged with horribly and was a bit of a slow learner. The people who raised me made me look like a troubled child looking for attention so every time I struggled in school my teachers would tell my guardians and I would get abused even more. I was also bullied from classmates for my boyish name and the way I dressed (baggy clothes to hide the bruises). When I would tell the teacher in hopes of them telling them to stop I was the one reprimanded for being "a tattletale" and again the teachers would tell my guardians that I was "disturbing the class" school was a living hell for me. When I say abuse I don't mean yelled at or hit with a belt...I mean beaten covered in bruises, suffocated, broken bones- litterally had surgery but they said "oh she fell out of a tree) and I was too scared to say any different because lets be honest..no one was going to listen to me. On top of all that seeing school shooting constantly I was/am terrified of sending my kids to school. I was told homeschooling was an option so I started looking into that bot they were wanting $1300 per kid for the year...I do not have that kind of money. But recently I was informed there is free homeschooling through the public school system so I would like to do that.... But now I'm worried I'll get in trouble for my kids never have gone to school. I do not want to lose them, I love them and want to make this right. It just took me so long to get over my past experience and I honestly had no idea there was a free homeschooling option and had no idea it was required by law. Oldest one is 10 others are 7 and 8. Please no hate I just want to protect them.
