The primary responsibility of the Working America Driver position is to transport canvass staff comfortably and safely to and from turf. CDL not required! DUTIES INCLUDE: -Drive Working America vehicles safely at all times and obey all traffic laws -Follow Covid Safety protocols and policies -Assist canvass staff with breaks and emergencies -Arrange regular cleaning and maintenance services for the vehicle, planning routes based on road and traffic conditions -Manage and transport supplies such as water and literature needed for canvassing -Pick up and return rental vehicles -Fuel organizational vehicles, maintain receipts, and submit in a timely manner -Complete necessary paperwork and reporting -Other duties as assigned Ultimately, you will help us increase canvass effectiveness and efficiency to help Working America meet its campaign goals. To be considered for this role, you must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record with no major traffic violations. Note that you do not need to have a car; we provide drivers with our own vehicles. This is a fixed-term position with an expected end date on or before 11/08/2022. QUALIFICATIONS: -Must have a current and valid Driver’s license -Must pass Motor Vehicle Record background check -Must be able to work nights and weekends -Ability to develop & execute and follow canvass transportation plan -Have good time management & prioritization -Ability to produce written reports, plans, and analysis -Time commitment for the duration of the assignment -Ability to work independently -Reliable cell phone -Must provide proof of COVID vaccination -Agree with Working America’s mission WORK SCHEDULE: 1:30pm-10pm Monday to Friday Some Weekends required Salary starts at $15 an hour Visit our website at workingamerica.org/jobs and apply through our portal, or email a resume and cover letter to [email protected].
