The public is invited to a quarter auction at the Annapolis Senior Activity Center, 119 S. Villa Ave., Annapolis, Md., on Wednesday, Sept. 7. Viewing of the items to be auctioned starts at 9:30 a.m. Bidding starts at 10 a.m.
The first paddle is free. Additional paddles are $2 each. Bids will be set between a quarter and a $1.50 based on the value of the items (some cost more than $400). Refreshments can be purchased at the center’s Snack Bar.
Items to be auctioned include overnight stays, liquor baskets, jewelry and gift cards for meals at restaurants (including crab and shrimp meals!).
This event, which benefits the center, is made possible by the hard work of Delores Hawkins, a center volunteer, and Mary Crowner, a senior center associate.
