IN-PERSON WORKSHOP Saturday - Sunday, August 27 - 28, 2022 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM Come spend a weekend at the farm! Sauvie Island is a delightful location with so many interesting things to observe. In this weekend long class students will choose specimens to study and draw or paint with watercolor. An optional lesson in lettering and calligraphy will be a part of this class for students who wish to record the name (common and Latin for example) and plant description. An example would be the addition of the common and Latin name and a plant description. Oftentimes, with research interesting facts can be obtained including edibility and medicinal values! Exemplars of the drawing and painting of plants and a simple lettering guide will be provided to all students.
