Looking for musicians to play genre-bending rock

I'm a guitar and bass player looking for like-minded musicians who want to play rock music that doesn't conform to any particular genre. I most recently played in a heavy instrumental band in Baltimore, but don't necessarily want to be confined by heaviness or any single type of music in general. A few of my biggest influences (across all genres) include Mastodon, Sonic Youth, King Crimson, Zappa, Morbid Angel, Genesis, The Byrds...but it doesn't really matter if you like any of those artists or not. I'm 42, have a family and a day job...so not looking to tour out of a van for weeks at a time. But would love to eventually play regularly in Philly, DC, Bmore, Richmond... I live in Annapolis but don't mind driving to DC or Baltimore for jam sessions/practices. Please reach out if you're interested. Thanks!
