' ' ' ' Hello, I'm a lifelong musician who is putting roots down in Bend and looking to get a band together/join a band or two here. I play guitar and bass mostly, but I can play most other stringed instruments and I like to mess around on my melodica. I would love to play music related to these genres: soul, r&b, funk, indie, alternative, pop, blues, disco fusion, etc. I'm 30, queer, emotionally intelligent, a little derpy, and easy-going. Here are some of my influencers/current favorite bands: Soul, groove, etc. Yola, The Suffers, Thee Sacred Souls, Menahan Street Band, Sharon Jones & the Dap Kings, Black Pumas, Sun on Shade, St. Paul & the Broken Bones, California Honeydrops Indie, alt, etc.looking for someone who will fit right in with us as a band family. You must have time to learn the material and come to rehearsals prepared. We don't have a lot of rehearsals so knowing the material is a must. We travel to Green Bay, Juliet IL, Appleton, Milwaukee, and have a few shows somewhat locally. I'd say don't apply if you don't like to travel to new places. Potentially have other musicians jam from time to time as well. Ideally, I would like to keep my drums set up and be able to practice anytime/day (willing to set up a schedule) I am able to pay up to $200/month Guitar players are welcome but please be multi instrumental. This is so we don't end up with 6 guitar players. Serious players only. This is not a get drunk and make noise-jam! We will be playing improve and original jams. Khruangbin, Angel Olsen, Caroline Rose, Michael Nau, Peter Cat, The Growlers, Fruit Bats, Bahamas, Chicano Batman, Neil Frances, Mac DeMarco, King Princess, Shannon and the Clams. I have played guitar for three years and have practiced lots. I am looking to join a band and am willing to quickly learn a set list to play live. I have a strong understanding of music theory and have a good understanding of solo improvisation. My main influences are Jimmy Page and Dimebag Darrell. I’m open to playing all genres but blues, rock, and metal is what I mainly play on my own.
