Landscape/Hardscape Construction Crew Member $18-21 per hour Responsibilities: A Garrett Design Crew Member is primarily responsible for landscape and hardscape installations. 40 hours per week with possibility for overtime. ALL hours worked over 40 will be paid as overtime at a rate of 1 ½ hourly rate as required by law. Daily Tasks: ● Perform physical field and yard work; load and unload vehicles at pickup and delivery. ● Perform duties as directed by Head Foreman. ● Work safely in a team environment to produce high quality landscapes and hardscapes. ● Execution of landscape construction work including, but not limited to planting, mulching, grading and bed preparation, removal and transplant, sod installation, drainage installation, site development, patios, retaining walls, firepits, cleanups, and other landscape and hardscape work tasks as necessary. ● Assist Foreman with all phases of daily tasks, as directed, to ensure 100% on time delivery of all contracted work. ● Support crew by contributing to constant attention to detail, cleanliness of job sites, and maintenance of tools. Keep trucks and tools organized. ● Interact with clients, the public and vendors in a professional, polite and courteous manner. ● Accept instructions to complete tasks as required, then seek out additional tasks when finished. ● Pick up materials from vendors using company trucks. Drive safely and with care. What to expect: ● Fast-paced and continually changing work conditions, which include lifting 75 lbs., physical activity including bending, kneeling, balancing, walking, stooping, and continuous use of the arms and legs. ● Work outdoors in various conditions including heat, humidity, rain, dust, noise and cold. ● Uniforms will be provided.
