Description

The Mid-Autumn Festival. Also known as the Moon Festival, Tsukimi, Chuseok, Tet Trung Thu, Uposatha of Ashvini, Krittika, etc – it is a holiday celebrated through our identity as Asian American Pacific Islanders. It is a believed that the Moon is at its brightest and fullest size, coinciding with harvest time in the middle of Autumn. 3 fundamental concepts that celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival include "Gathering", "Thanksgiving", "Praying" however, altogether symbolize a cohesive meaing of coming together to reflect and give thanks. This year, we're ending on a high note and celebrating with our community as Jasmine Market. We'll have Asian inspired foods, boba, desserts, and programming to make this a family friendly event. This is a free event with all races and genders are welcomed. Hope to see everyone there! Hosted by Hot Boi Chili Oil, The Boba Plug, Em Collective Sponsored by Slumptown Supply Co. (Kai Kwong)
