The Mid-Autumn Festival. Also known as the Moon Festival, Tsukimi, Chuseok, Tet Trung Thu, Uposatha of Ashvini, Krittika, etc – it is a holiday celebrated through our identity as Asian American Pacific Islanders.
It is a believed that the Moon is at its brightest and fullest size, coinciding with harvest time in the middle of Autumn. 3 fundamental concepts that celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival include "Gathering", "Thanksgiving", "Praying" however, altogether symbolize a cohesive meaing of coming together to reflect and give thanks.
This year, we're ending on a high note and celebrating with our community as Jasmine Market. We'll have Asian inspired foods, boba, desserts, and programming to make this a family friendly event.
This is a free event with all races and genders are welcomed.
Hope to see everyone there!
