You hurt me in a way that I might feel forever. I can’t trust people fully because of the betrayal I felt. It was truly like you died, because who I thought you were to me was suddenly gone for good.
BUT, today I realized a small benefit. Even after 7 years, I can still draw on that sadness to put real emotion in my singing. Because I haven’t ever been able to forget how it felt. Like you died in that moment. How can you hate and miss someone so much simultaneously?
And we can never go back.
