Perth Amboy Artworks presents Live at the Ferry Slip featuring Segunda Quimbamba. Enjoy great live music and beautiful views of Raritan Bay. Segunda Quimbamba is a dance and drum ensemble that perform Bomba and Plena, the vibrant drum music of Puerto Rico. Band Director Juan Cartagena is a recognized Master Folk Artist by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts. Founded in 1989, Segunda Quimbamba have many recordings & have performed throughout the US and Internationally. The show is free and all ages. There is room for dancing and some limited seating available. Also check out the Ferry Slip Museum and the great food and drinks available along the marina and waterfront. Grant funding has been provided by the Middlesex County Board of County Commissioners Through a grant award from the Middlesex County Cultural and Arts Trust Fund.
