October is Down Syndrome Awareness month! Join the Upside of Downs - Augusta Chapter, as we unite for a common cause and raise funds during the 2022 CSRA Greater Augusta Buddy Walk! Whether you have Down Syndrome, know someone who does, or just want to show your support, take the first step and register and/or donate today! Please help us spread the word to celebrate all the AMAZING individuals in the CSRA with Down Syndrome. This year’s Buddy Walk will be held Saturday, October 22, 2022 from 9am to 12noon at the Evans Towne Center Park in Evans, GA. We would love for you to join us!* Family Fun Event * Kid-Friendly Activities * Food Vendors * Business Vendors * Bounce Houses * CSRA Jeeps * Superheroes * Face-Painting * Temporary Tattoos * Music * Princesses * Bubbles * Lakeside High School Drum Line * The Buddy Walk is our primary fundraiser that allows us to continue supporting local families of individuals with Down Syndrome. We use these funds to pay for recreational activity fees, informational packets for new parents of babies with Down Syndrome, conference fees, fund family social events, and summer camps. This year, we want to increase our support to families by offering scholarships for children with Down Syndrome to receive educational opportunities at recognized schools such as Immaculate Conception Catholic School, Aparro Academy, and others. We wish to surpass prior fundraising efforts with a goal of $25,000 this year, and we need your help by creating a Buddy Team, joining a Buddy Team, sponsoring our event, donating a silent auction item and/or volunteering your time at the event!
