Contractor Needs Help with Shake Roofing Project I am going to be replacing a 30+ shake roof with a product called Cedur which is a composite shake made in Colorado (google it) which has three widths and a 10” reveal. It is about 14 sq (only doing half the roof at this time) and will be measuring today and ordering up Monday. There is a 16-week lead but working on getting product sooner. Steeps are as follows: • Remove old roof in sections without dumping all the debris in the attic • The roof is not sheeted and instead of sheeting it I will be filling in with 1x4 df • Flash and felt roof • Install shakes I have all the tools and equipment as needed although I might buy a second coil nailer. This job can be done on weekends too. Ideal person would be: • Ok with $30 cash 8-10hr days lunch is not included • Experienced with shake roofing as it is a dying skill • Can work during the week and weekends too • Lives in the bay area close to Castro Valley • Not a smoker • Reliable transportation • If you choose to reply please tell me your skill sets and a way to contact you Cheers, Boss
