BORP (Bay Area Outreach and Recreation Program) has been providing sports and recreation opportunities for people with disabilities in the Bay Area for decades. Seeking volunteers for our newest program: adaptive kayaking! We paddle at Berkeley’s Aquatic Park lagoon, at 80 Bolivar Drive, Berkeley. We are looking for all kinds of volunteers including: - Highly experienced paddlers to serve as “safety boaters” (kayaking and/or safety certifications are a bonus) - Strong individuals to help lift and move boats - People who have experience with people with disabilities or personally identify as having a disability Our upcoming kayaking events are: Tuesday August 23, 1 - 3:30 pm Sunday September 11, 10 am - 1 pm Tuesday September 20, 1 pm - 3:30 pm For more information, email Mia, contact info on website: https://www.borp.org/programs/kayaking/
