This is how I taught myself:

Then again, play the violin any way you like, of course.
Anyway, just a musical holler-out from an old coot, violinist, multi-instrumentalist (other strings, some vocals and woodwinds) who wanted to take up the violin but did not want to deal with the extreme physical angles and potential pain. So I respectfully circumvented the extremes, making playing surprisingly easy. Jazz, pop, folk, rock, classical and so forth, many more recordings and dad humor on my channel.
I'm interested in possible collabs with good and confident musicians, regardless of how they like to hold their instruments. Hey, who am I to judge? The guy in the antique photo taught himself to play the violin with his TOES very well and engagingly. Definitely one of my violin heroes. Who are your musical heroes?
Say hello with some details and links to recordings, if you feel so inclined.
Have a musical day!
Dave
