Sister Barbara Reid is the first woman president of Catholic Theological Union (CTU), her historic appointment in 2020 reflecting the Church's growing recognition of the vital contribution of women to the life of the church. A Dominican Sister from Grand Rapids, Mich., Reid has taught at CTU since 1988 and is the Carroll Stuhlmueller, CP, Distinguished Professor of New Testament Studies.
