Prepare for Liftoff! — Whether you are attending Shezmu Cellars' out-of-this-world Storm Area 51 Blacklight Party on September 17 or Imagine Festival, there's no better way to get ready! We are hosting a night of tie-dyeing and kandi-making! TIE-DYE a shirt that is rave-worthy just in time for the weekend! You can bring your own shirt and get a ticket for access to the dye tables, or get a ticket that includes a unisex style shirt in your size. KANDI is a must and any rave or blacklight party! Grab a Kandi ticket and come make as many bracelets as you like. Feel free to bring some of your own beads if you have specifics you want to use, but may colors and all the letters will be on hand! Shezmu Cellars is an urban winery producing local honey-wines (mead) while also pouring 30 taps of craft beer and over 25 wines from North Georgia wine country. Shezmu Cellars believes mead doesn’t have to be a sweet dessert wine and focuses on producing sessionable dry meads served carbonated, nitrogenated, and still. Voted Best Winery in Georgia in 2020 and 2021 by the Georgia Business Journal, the Marietta winery is available as a venue for private events and hosts monthly art exhibits and comedy shows among the occasional themed party. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS: What colors will be available? --- We have over 40 colors available including celestial and UV-reactive colors! What ticket(s) do I need? --- If you're bringing your own shirt to dye, make sure its 100% natural fibers (like cotton) and grab a BYO Shirt ticket to get access to the dye tables. Every shirt to be dyed needs it's own ticket! --- If you'd like us to get a 100% cotton ultra soft unisex style shirt for you and have it to dye at the event, you need to get a Tie-Dyer ticket. Every shirt to be dyed needs it's own ticket! --- If you'd like to make Kandi, snag a Kandi Maker ticket. Each person making Kandi needs their own ticket, but a ticket is good for as much kandi as they'd like to make! What should I wear? --- Definitely wear clothing you can stand to accidentally change the color of. While we will take as much precaution as we can, spills and splashes are bound to happen! What is kandi? --- Kandi is handmade friendship bracelets that have become a distinctive and unique part of rave culture and are designed to be given away or traded away as a sign of PLUR culture - peace, love, unity, and respect. This iHeartRaves article gives the whole scoop. Is this event 21+? --- Nope, bring all the dyers and kandi makers you can muster! Just note that we won't be serving alcohol to anyone not at least 21 years old. Is parking available? --- Yes, there is plenty of free parking in the lot in front of the winery... but if you're planning on drinking, please plan on taking a Lyft, Uber or designate a driver! Do I need to print my tickets? --- No! We will be able to check you in electronically. Is only wine available? --- Nope! We have lots of wine, including a huge Georgia wine selection as well as Sake and other wine-based beverages. We also have 30 taps of craft beer and some domestics in bottles/cans. We do not serve liquor. Is there a kitchen on site? --- Unfortunately no. We often have food vendors at our events, but if we do not advertise them then our offerings will include charcuterie, chocolate and other bar snack options.
