Description
I'd like to introduce you to Hank, the worlds most labbiest-lab. Hank is exactly the classic lab dog in every movie and cartoon. He buries bones; He speaks on command; He FREAKIN LOVES water; He fetches after sticks (at this point, he can fetch logs!); He knows when its time for the kids to get up, and he'll go into their rooms and pull off their covers; He will bring you a toy when he wants to play; He really is a great dog and we actually love him a lot. The issue lies with us. Since we've gotten Hank, my wife and I have both gone back to work full time. Poor Hank has to wait until the weekend until he can finally go out and play, which just isnt fair to him. We thought we could make it work but now we are both starting to work on weekends! We love Hank enough to know that we are not the best dog parents for him and he deserves a home with a backyard at least. We are hoping to find a family with experience with labs and definitely a backyard for him to run around in. I've written out a bunch of information about Hank below for you to read, but please do not reach out unless you have a private backyard. MORE ABOUT HANK: - He is still a puppy at 9 months old, but already weighs 60 pounds. According to the online pet calculators, he should be around 80 pounds as an adult. - His mom was a Lab/Vizsla and the dad was a Lab/unknown mix. So Hank seems to have the lab body type but the fur coat of a Vizsla. All other lab owners you'll meet will be quite jealous of this, and will ask you about it at the park all the time. - He is fantastic with kids. We have a 10 and 7 year old and he has never had an issue. He is very loving and cuddly. - He is fantastic with dogs. We take him to the dog park at least once a week and he gets along great with everyone. He has even had experience with aggressive dogs and he reacted very well. - When we are on walks, he does a good job of ignoring other dogs who may we walking. - He loves to fetch balls, sticks, toys, rocks, basically anything. He will jump into water and even dive for the ball (see video: https://youtube.com/shorts/65WIaMTgI-E?feature=share) - He's house trained, but we are still working on overnights. - He is very affectionate and communicative. He hasn't been neutered or chipped yet, and has only had his first two round of shots. If you're interested in a super handsome black lab, please reach out and we will schedule a time to meet you at a local park or dog park.
