Yoga is used as a mind, body, soul practice to heal the whole person and create stability and strength to grow. The mindful practices in yoga help us connect to our true selves, individuals making up the collective. Through unity in our community, we all heal. This class is dedicated to practicing yoga in gratitude for organizations working to heal those in need.
We will donate all proceeds to Heels to Heal, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping survivors of sexual and domestic violence receive the resources necessary for healing. Expect a healing flow focused on mindful stretching and stability postures as we move with gratitude. All experience levels are welcome. Bring a yoga mat and any optional props (bolsters, blankets, blocks) if you prefer.
Karina began her yoga practice hoping to relieve physical and mental pain but discovered the benefits of yoga liberated her in every aspect- healing body pain, mental health problems, and spirituality. She received her 200hr RYT in 2020 and has since been on a journey of awakening through working with at-risk youth, sharing yoga practices with the community, and exploring creative expression in music, writing, and art.
