Description
Teddy lives up to his name. He's a giant 8 month old F1 labradoodle puppy who absolutely loves everyone. He's a giant teddy bear! He's up to date on all shots except for his rabies vaccine. He will need his rabies vaccine, microchip, and neuter (was waiting until he's full grown). He knows a few basic commands but can be a little stubborn/or too excited unless you have a treat. Sit, lay down, off (people/furniture), jump, load up (vehicle), "bedtime/get in your bed", get in the bath (he's amazing at baths/showers!),etc. He's extremely smart and would do well with an experienced owner who has the time, strength, knowledge, and energy to work with him. He is very inconsistent on the leash. He can be doing amazing at times but is not good with distractions and has nearly pulled my arm out of place or pulls his head right through the collar when he sees his friends or someone he wants to say hi to. He's COMPLETELY potty trained! I never even had to potty train him, and he has never had an accident in my apartment or in the car. He has a strong prey drive so he would NOT do well in a home with timid cats (he likes to play chase), small pets, chickens, etc. He does really well off leash up in the mountains but needs more training. He needs a lot of chews, exercise, etc to keep him busy or he will get into things like the garbage and you better not leave your food on the coffee table or he will eat that too haha. He doesn't have an aggressive bone in his body, but he is goofy and doesn't realize his own strength and size so he could very easily accidentally knock over or harm small children or an elderly person. Teddy's best fit would be in a home with an experienced high energy large breed dog owner, a very active family/person, and he would LOVE a home with another high energy dog to play with. I'm sure he would absolutely love a big yard to romp around in too. He's honestly such an amazing dog and has so much potential with the right owners. Unfortunately I've been struggling a lot with my mental health and I'm not giving him the amount of care and attention that he deserves and needs. He will come with everything you could possibly need, his bed/crate, collars, leashes, hiking backpack, grooming supplies, portable dishes, nice dishes, treats, tons of toys, 2 big bags of dog food, etc. He has a rehoming fee of $500. I love Teddy very much and I want him to go to a good home. If you are interested then please send me a message saying a little bit about you and the type of home you have to offer him.
