I'm a stringed instrument player with an interest a few types of music - Italian, Argentinian, French, Mexican, musette... I'm more jazz-curious than jazz-capable, but tunes from "the Great American Songbook" are always welcome. Early blues, ragtime, and country music is the music that got me playing originally (Italian is my thing these days - a musical island all to myself, mainly), and I'm open to playing or adapting some of that. Western swing? Sure. Coming from another direction, music from the band, Ry Cooder, Tom Waits, Marc Ribot, Bill Frisell, and Jim Campilongo always gets my attention.
