Come join us for our open house!Northwest Junior Pipe Band is Washington's only youth pipe band. At our open house you'll get to learn more about the different instruments we play, and how a pipe band works! Learning the pipes begins with Pipe Band School: Our beginning music program is a great way to get started on the bagpipes, Scottish snare drum, tenor drum or bass drum. All kids ages 8-18 are welcome Fun and encouraging atmosphere Community-building group lessons Learn music fundamentals, teamwork, good practice habits and sportsmanship The next step is Performance and Competition Band: Once kids have mastered the basics and are comfortable on their instruments, it's time to perform! Parades and community performances, large and small Solo and small group performances Concerts - including our big annual fundraiser Pipe band competitions at Scottish Highland Games International Travel We travel to perform and compete all over the Pacific Northwest, including B.C. Canada. Every few years NWJPB also travels to Glasgow, Scotland to compete in the World Pipe Band Championships. Come check us out!
