Do you work in Leavenworth or Peshastin but can’t afford to live there? Upper Valley MEND and Our Valley Our Future are co-hosting a facilitated conversation about workforce housing in the Upper Wenatchee Valley for employees of businesses who grapple with this challenge. Learn the latest on the local housing market and what other communities are doing to ease their workforce housing shortages, and provide us your thoughts on ways to help our workers live locally. The Sept. 7 event is the first of three conversations in the workshop series. The dates, times, audiences, and locations for the other two workshops: Sept. 15, 5:30 to 7 p.m., for employers of the area, at the Leavenworth Fire Hall Sept. 28, 5:30 to 7 p.m., for employees of the area (hosted in Spanish), at the Peshastin Memorial Hall
