Travel through Leu Gardens to discover trees from around the world, and the birds that depend on them. This new Home School class priced for one adult and up to two children will involve classroom challenges before we venture out to visit the eight unique birdhouses, placed by interesting trees. You will discover how important these trees are in their native lands, but also may be important to our birds here. With binoculars and guides we will identify the birds we see and hear at Leu Gardens. This class is geared to eight to twelve year olds, but younger siblings can also attend but may need help from a parent or guardian You will make something fun to attract native birds to your own yard.
This class is taught by Sandi Linn, Education Supervisor at Harry P. Leu Gardens and author of the Middle School /YA novel Invasive Species, available on Amazon.
