WVAM will kick off its material culture workshop series, Talking Objects with Jim, at the West Virginia State Museum in Charleston on September 13th! State Museum curator and WVAM board member, Jim Mitchell, will lead an in-depth workshop on musical instrument identification using The Sounds of Music exhibit currently on display. The workshop is from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. with an hour for lunch between 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. Also, the event is free regardless of WVAM membership status. However, the maximum participants will be limited to 8 people. Pre-registration is required.
