African Arts and Cultural Awareness Festival (AFRICANFEST-NYC), is the coming together of all people regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, religious beliefs, sexual orientation and cultural heritage, to celebrate African arts & culture. The aim of the two (2) day event was to provide the participants the opportunity to enjoy authentic African cuisine, music, folklore, fashion, poetry, crafts and so much more. At the end of the festival, we hope participants will have greater awareness, understanding and appreciation for African people, and their rich artistic and cultural traditions.
