Objective/Purpose: Who's Shinin is a work in process of the evolution of Hip-Hop lifestyle, a true sense of what it was and what it has become. Bringing Hip-Hop heads & advocates of the culture together to share our skills and teach on the positive energy and outlets. As well as paying tribute to the art forms. History: In the early years of the culture, Originating from the Boogie Down BRONX, NYC, The Holy Trinity of Hip-Hop, was; Kool Herc, Grandmaster Flash and Bambaataa. These three were paving the way. towards this cultural phenomena. This movement had no name at the time back in the 70's. It went untitled, until a pioneer MC, Keith 'Cowboy' a member of Grandmaster Flash and The Furious 5 coined this phrase, 'Hip Hop'. Many years, prior to it gaining global recognition , Hip Hop was a way to self express & celebrate life! It gradually developed into elements to form a cultural movement. These elements consist of; MCing, (rapping), DJing, Aerosol Art, B-Boyin (Breakin) The element which holds the rest together, Knowledge. The Growth: Hip-Hop is an ancient energy that has unified, healed and saved our youths. It has also manifested a mutual respect and commonality worldwide. It plays a huge role in helping aid mental health. It plays a BIG role in conflict resolution and enforcing positivity. Change the ' 'WHY" from "I" to "WE '' We are a subculture that unites all walks of life to come together and get down to the funky drummer beat! Description: Who's Shinin 3 is making a comeback after 20 years!! Our mission is still, to preserve the culture and bring that essence to The Mile High City! We'll be hosting the regional qualifier for the USA Breakin ' team. One incredible B-Boy or B-Girl, has a chance to be competitive, in an all out battle format. Earning their stripes and proving their skills! They have a chance to win CASH PRIZE, Flight/Hotel to The B-Boy PRO A.M. in Dec. Miami Florida. Special guest B-Boy judges will be on hand, as well as LIVE Graffiti painting. An array of clothing and food vendors will be aligned! A Special guest LIVE performance is also planned from a National Hip-Hop act, More TBA. This will be an amazing platform to witness raw Hip-Hop in its original formula. We would like to help the NEXT generation of the B-Boy in our state, a chance to compete in the Olympic games in Paris, 2024
