2022 SEED Eastern Kentucky Contracting Symposium
The 2022 SEED Eastern Kentucky Contracting Symposium will be held in Somerset, Ky. on October 27 .
Representatives from some of the world’s biggest defense contractors along with smaller more regional contractors will join some of Southern and Eastern Kentucky's most successful small business owners at The Center for Rural Development.
The event is a collaborative effort between the office of Fifth District Congressman Hal Rogers and Southeast Kentucky Economic Development Corp. (SKED). Rogers will attend and speak at the day-long event.
NOTE: Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. The event will begin at 10:15 a.m.
All About SEED
Supplier Education & Economic Development (SEED) training and supportive services are designed to improve the competitiveness of manufacturing companies in coal-impacted counties of Eastern Kentucky. Its goal is to help them obtain the competence needed to win government and private contracts. SEED partners have worked with nearly 100 small businesses to acquire the certifications and training necessary to meet confidently with major contractors from all across the U.S.
Each fall, SEED hosts a CONTRACTING SYMPOSIUM to gather all of the SEED-compliant and certified manufacturers in a single location to showcase their skills, and products to build a consortium of contractors and subcontractors.
