Join us for a European classical music journey and American homecoming with coloratura soprano Heidi Robinson, Friday, August 19th at 7:00 pm at The Old Grantsville Church, 297 W Clark Street, Grantsville, Utah. About the musicians... Heidi Robinson studied Vocal Performance and Choral Music Education at the University of Arizona, with both vocal and academic scholarships. Heidi's vocal training began as a private student of world renowned opera singer and retired BYU professor Ray Arbizu until his death in 2003. She then studied with concert master and San Francisco opera retiree Pamela Dale and most recently has studied with professional vocal artist Marcus Arbizu. Heidi and her husband Ryan are the parents of six childen. Heidi will be accompanied on the piano by Jenean Christensen. Pattie Matheson and Kimberly Parke will perform violin solos during the evening. Jenean Christensen started accompanying on the piano in sixth grade, when she was asked to play for the school chorus, and soon became a church accompanist and has been playing ever since! She received a bachelors degree in music from Utah State University where she studied with Gary Amano. While there, she accompanied the Chorale, Opera workshops, vocal competitions, theater department productions, and more! She has been teaching piano for thirty-five years and is a Nationally Certified Teacher of Music with the Music Teachers National Association. She has been active in the Utah Music Teachers Association including ten years on the state board as the MusicLink state coordinator. She and her husband Keith have four children, two of whom also hold music degrees from USU. Pattie Matheson, known for her beautifully rich tone and excellent quality in violin, trained under Judy Rich and has been teaching violin for 25 years. She's currently working with Kung Shu from Singapore Orchestra. As a mother- daughter team, she and Kimberly Parke enjoy performing together and are devoted to motivating young students and helping them love music. Kimberly has been playing violin since the age of 6, and earned her college degree in music. Kimberly has been taught by her mother as well as working with Judy Rich and Kung Shu. As a composer, performer and teacher, Kimberly's talents astound those fortunate enough to work with her.
